Move to Dallas

The following is a blog of our relocation from Long Island NY, to Northern Dallas Texas.

August 13th - Found out that the relocation to Dallas has been finalized

     Worked out really good for Sharon. I found out around 10:30am.
      called her, and she was with her high school friends who were all
      in town. She got to tell them all, in person, at the same time. She
      even had a dream the night before, that she got a call from me,
      when she was with her friends, and found out the move was official.
      Weird !

August 14th - Had dinner with Chris and Kenny to inform them of relocation

August 15th - Created tentative schedule for relocation
- Created spreadsheets for "To-Do" list

August 16th - Spoke with Bri and Ei about Relocation

August 21st - Agreed on Feb 1st date for Relo to Dallas.
- Planning on heading to Dallas on Jan 17th. Renting apartment.

August 22nd - Started to clean garage

August 25th - Arranged for 2 Realtors to come to house
- Had Chaz clean back year
- Caitlyn came over, and helped Sharon clean windows, and some basement work.

August 27th - Jim from AJ came to finalize front siding work.
- Rented Storage unit and Cargo Van.
- Old in-ground oil-tank abatement done

August 28th - Bay Shore Moving and Storage came for estimate
- Sharon and Kev started to work on his Bedroom

August 29th - Painted trim molding in Master Bath
- Painted Bob's Closets
- Completely filled a "Medium" size UHaul box with Bobs summer shirts.
- Rented steamer to take Kevin's border off.

August 30th - Moved Armoire and 2 pieces of entertainment center to UHaul for Storage.

August 30th - Received quote from Home Depot to carpet stairs and upper hallway.
                      Backyard and pool sure look good !

August 31st, Monday

    

    - New siding delivered today
    - Sharon and Kev finally won the battle of taking the border
      off his his wall. Steamer work great,once you know how
      to use it !

September 1st, Tuesday

    - Sharon and Kev got all the "glue" off the wall,
       Ready to start painting Kev's room finally.
    - Contractor will be here tomorrow for the Siding.

Sept 2nd, Wednesday

  -- House B4 the siding:

  -- Jim (AJ Home Improvements) arrived, and start to
     put up the siding, it looks better then expected.

Sept 4th, Friday

   - Jim ran out of siding, slight miscalculation, and needs to
     finish up next week.

   - What a day, up till 2am, getting the house ready to show to 1st Realtor

Sept 5th, Saturday

  - Another busy day, worked on getting the house ready, right
     up until the realtors arrived. This went OK, not too sure
     if we liked what they said, and price.
  -- Working on painting Kev's room today

Sept 6th, Sunday

  -- Kev's room almost done painting
  -- Sharon and Caitlyn put up binds in office,
      completed windows, and cleaned garage

Sept 7th, Monday

  -- Saw Sue Doohan realtor
  -- Finished painting Kev's room

Sept 8th, Tuesday

  -- Met with 3rd Realtor, Went very well.
  -- Painted molding on MB Bath door
  -- Fixed Pool steps and Gate
  -- Power washed part of pool deck
  -- Touched up chair rail and molding in Master Bed
  -- Kev computer moved to his room.

  Wow, guess today was a productive day.
